Ship repairs

We offer our clients a full range of services in ship repairs, class inspections, conversions, and vessel life extensions.

As part of these repair works, we carry out:

• Hull works – hull construction, sections for vessel lengthening, steel replacement on repaired ships, etc.
• Maintenance and painting works – high-pressure water cleaning, sandblasting and painting of the hull, tanks, cargo holds, etc.
• Piping works – construction and replacement of steel, copper, stainless steel, and plastic pipelines.
• Machinery works – overhauls and installation of main engines, generator sets, pumps, heat exchangers, shaft lines, steering gears, bow thrusters, deck machinery, etc.
• Electrical works – replacement and installation of all electrical systems on the vessel, including navigation systems.
• Carpentry works – replacement and construction of the full range of ship accommodation areas.

We are prepared to meet any request of the Shipowner related to the repair or conversion of the vessel carried out by us.

Floating dock – repair conditions

Safe has one floating dock with the following parameters:

• Overall length – 150.00 m
• Inner width – 24.70 m
• Lifting capacity – 6,000 tons
• PRS class
• Dock cranes 2 × 5 tons

In addition, Safe has quays with a total length of 300 m. The quays are equipped with utilities and a 1 × 30-ton crane.

There is also a possibility of additional berthing for vessels with a total length of 300 m.

Safe has mechanical workshops, a locksmith’s workshop, a storage warehouse, and laydown areas.

Safe employs 65 production workers in various shipyard trades. The company makes extensive use of subcontractors for hull, piping, electrical, and outfitting works.

Scope of activity

The Anti-Corrosion Department has existed since the establishment of the company in 1995. Our strengths are:

• qualified and experienced staff
• state-of-the-art painting equipment and facilities (compressors, dehumidifiers, heaters, painting units, metallization units, etc.)
• qualified staff supervising the quality and timeliness of the works performed

We meet quality standards and environmental requirements.

We provide anti-corrosion services for new vessels, offshore structures, bridges, and units undergoing repairs, such as:

• metallization with zinc, aluminium, and its alloys
• shot blasting, sandblasting, dedusting
• protection of flue gas desulphurization installations
• insulation
• application of FLAME CONTROL and CHARTEK coatings
• hydro-blasting
• application of SAFEGRIP and HUMMERVOLL epoxy floors

Anti-corrosion works on drilling platforms carried out in accordance with NORSOK standards.

We carry out anti-corrosion works in shipyards and power plants in Poland and abroad (Germany, France, United Kingdom, Finland, Turkey, Denmark).

• Damen Shipyards, Peiniger Group, Remontowa Shipbuilding, Remontowa Group, Crist S.A., Gdańsk Shipyard, Naval Shipyards in France and Poland

We carry out works in accordance with the NORSOK M-501 standard and inspection requirements compliant with FROSIO Level III. The scope of works includes sandblasting and painting, metallization, application of flooring systems, and passive fire protection. In the last year, our company applied more than 300,000 m² of anti-corrosion coatings on OFFSHORE structures and newly built vessels.

In addition, we apply anti-corrosion coatings for the onshore and power industries in Poland and abroad. Our main clients are:

• PPRM Płock, Mostostal Pomorze S.A., Budimex, Port of Gdynia, Port of Gdańsk
• Application of anti-corrosion coatings for sports halls, shopping centers (REAL, Carrefour), bridges (on the A1 road, Elbląg, Płock), the molasses terminal at the Port of Gdynia, and the grain terminal at the Port of Gdańsk.
