LTD. Sp. z o.o., a unified technology for transferring particularly heavy, large-size floating and hydrotechnical (offshore) structures between land and a floating docking platform will be developed and demonstrated, using automated computational algorithms.<\/p>\n<p>The project will be implemented in three stages as development works. The first stage will cover design works, while the remaining two stages will focus on experimental development works. The project will be carried out by Consortium members with complementary competencies and extensive experience in the shipbuilding industry. The R&amp;D team also includes scientists from Gda\u0144sk University of Technology and a subcontractor with an experienced scientific and technical staff. As a result of the project, the Consortium members will introduce to the market an innovative service for transferring large-size structures from land to water and from water to land. The project implementation will also contribute to strengthening the competitive position of the Consortium members and to the development of the Polish shipbuilding sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3>The development works will concern<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li>Conducting analyses, including numerical analyses and simulations, in order to develop a docking concept using SPMT platforms on the floating docking platform (hereinafter referred to as FDP), taking into account the transport of docked structures.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of design documentation for the FDP prototype, the transport bridge prototype, and development of software utilizing automated computational algorithms.<\/li>\n<li>Creation and real-life testing of prototypes \u2013 the floating docking platform and the transport bridge.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3>The results of the project will include, among others:<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li>An innovative floating docking platform enabling the transport of large-size structures from land to water and from water to land.<\/li>\n<li>Increased safety of cargo transfer processes on land through the use of solutions ensuring high maneuverability on uneven terrain.<\/li>\n<li>Enabling the transport of heavy structures from land to water and from water to land at quays with low permissible load capacity.<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of the time required for vessel docking\/undocking operations.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation in the Consortium companies of automated computational algorithms using software for planning, cost estimation, control, and safety monitoring of the structure transfer process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Project implementation period: 01.06.2020 \u2013 31.12.2022<\/p>\n<p>The total cost of the Project amounts to: PLN 23,961,538.75<\/p>\n<p>Contribution from European Funds: PLN 9,584,615.50<\/p>\n<p>The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Programme. Construction in open sea conditions is very time-consuming and exposed to storm-related weather interruptions (it is necessary to assume even a 25\u201335% time reserve for downtime). Often, already completed elements must be secured against storms, which also increases execution costs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-justify\">The use of the FDP platform in the construction of hydrotechnical structures carried out at sea provides the possibility of partially reducing dependence on weather conditions by producing large reinforced concrete floating structures (e.g. caisson foundations) in fully sheltered conditions inside ports. As a result, the construction time is significantly reduced, and the execution cost is at least 10% lower.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-justify\">The FDP platform would be used only for the construction of the lower parts of the structures, which, after achieving buoyancy, would be docked and moved out of the FDP.
